Joseph Young
STOUGHTON. — The funeral of Joseph Young, one of those who lost their lives by drowning off Scituate and whose home was at 12 Pinewood avenue, was held from the funeral home, 115 Monk street, Friday morning, followed by a solemn high mass of requiem in the Immaculate Conception church. Rev. William W. Gunn was celebrant, Rev. John P. Cosgrove, deacon, Rev. Mykolas Vembre, sub-deacon, Fr. Gunn offered prayers at the grave in Holy Sepulchre cemetery. The bearers were all members of the 5-1 Club of Stoughton of which he was a member and included Peter Leif, Gordon Bishop, Ivory Matthews, Harold W. Littlefield, Conrad Peterson, William Taylor.
