Eastonites Note Golden Jubilee
ROHDINS ARE 50 YRS. WED
NORTH EASTON. — More than 100 friends and neighbors attended the open house in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Clinton V. Rohdin, Bay road, in observance of their 50th wedding anniversary, Sunday afternoon. They received scores of congratulatory messages, gifts, flowers and currency.
As part of the early afternoon festivities, the honored guests were feted at a dinner party at a Raynham inn. Attending were: Miss Lottie Phillips, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Cobb and daughter, Esther; Arthur Rohdin, Mr. and Mrs. John Lewis and children, Donald and Virginia, Miss Janet Burgess, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Burgess of Amherst, Mr. and Mrs. David Rohdin, and children, David, Jr., Linda, and John; Mr. and Mrs. Winslow Conant and children, Daren and John.
They received $50 and a beautiful bouquet from their children and grandchildren; a large bouquet of yellow carnations from the Easton Evangelical Congregational church, and a pretty bouquet of yellow glads from the Outlook Club.
Both enjoy good health and take an active interest in community affairs. They were married on July 3, 1905 at the Easton Evangelical Congregational church by Rev. William Fryling, then pastor. Both were born in Easton and attended the local schools.
Mrs. Rohdin is a member of the Outlook Club of Easton, Ladies Benevolent Society, Sheldon Guild and the Easton Historical Society. Mr. Rohdin is a Deacon at the Evangelical Congregational church, Men's Club, Lions Club and Easton Historical Society. He was in the dairy business for 20 years and recently retired.
They were presented a large three-tired anniversary cake with white and yellow roses, which was cut and served to guests. Refreshments were served by Edith Cobb, Bessie Lewis, Mary Conant and Miss Lottie Phillips.
