Charles H. Alger, 70, resident of Brockton
BROCKTON — Charles H. Alger, 70, of Brockton, died Saturday at Cardinal Cushing General Hospital after a period of failing health.
Born in Melrose, son of the late Nathan A. and Marion (Crosby) Alger, he was a graduate of Bristol County Agricultural School and attended Eastern Nazarene College.
Mr. Alger was a poultry and vegetable farmer most of his life. He attended the North Baptist Church.
He leaves two sisters, Louise Thomas and Dorothy R. Gardiner, both of Brockton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, G. Crosby and Beulah B. Alger and Robert S. and Shirley E. Alger, all of West Bridgewater, and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home Chapel for All Faiths, 647 Main St., Brockton. The Rev. Charles Prosper, Jr. of North Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.
