Rites Scheduled Friday For City Murder Victim

SCITUATE — A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate Harbor, for Mrs. Florence Estelle (Norcross) Lauze, 19, of 565 East St., whose strangled body was found August 16 in a lake in New Castle, Maine. 

Born in Brockton, she attended Brockton High School. She had been employed as a nurses aide at St. Joseph Manor. 

She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Claire E. (Crosier) Magnus, and her stepfather, Carl L. Magnus of Brockton; three brothers, David W. Norcross, Jr., with the U.S. Marines, Thomas B. Norcross of Quincy, and Alan N. Magnus of Brockton; four sisters, Miss Linda A. Norcross of N.Y., Mrs. Pamela M. Peters of Brockton, Miss Walita F. Norcross of Springfield and Miss Kathleen R. Magnus of Brockton; her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Florence Estelle Crosier of Brockton; an uncle, Gordon Cross of Scituate and an aunt, Mrs. Donna M. Pace of Abington. 

The Most Rev. Msgr. William Rouche will officiate at a Funeral Mass to be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at St. Mary of the Nativity Church, Scituate. Rev. Timothy W. Ashton, pastor of the Universalist-Unitarian Church, Brockton, will say committal prayers at High Street
Cemetery, Whitman.
