Orville K. Griffith
SOUTH CARVER. — Orville K. Griffith, 80, of Lakeview street, a native and lifelong resident, died at Jordan Hospital, Plymouth, Friday. He was born in the Andrew Griffith homestead on Meadow street, a son of Andrew and Martha (Shaw) Griffith. In his youth he had been employed as a moulder at the Ellis Foundry, and later in life he became a cranberry grower. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge of Wareham.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. Nancy Shaw of this town, and several nephews and nieces.
The funeral will take place Monday afternoon at the South Carver Methodist church. Interment will be in Union cemetery.
