There are so many photos out there in antique shops, etc. of unknown people. Oh the stories they could tell. In my mother's hometown there was a "we'll say" collectibles dealer (I've heard it called a "junk shop")where old things were heaped upon other old things. I often heard my mother say that she was afraid she'd go in there some day and see her grandparent's pictures hung on the wall. I'd love to see pictures of my ancestors but no one is left who can help me do this. So, I see countless "unknown" faces on photos and wonder where their families are today.
