Charles R. Rockwood
Funeral services for Charles R. Rockwood, of 114 Newbury street, were conducted Friday afternoon in the funeral home, 188 Belmont street, by Rev. Charles D. Broadbent of the First Parish Congregational church. Interment was in Mt. Auburn cemetery, Hopkinton, where committal rites were conducted by members of John Warren Lodge, AF&AM in which Mr. Rockwood held a 50-year membership medal. They were conducted under direction of David E. Taylor, worshipful master and Lester E. Emerson, chaplain. Bearers from the lodge were Malcolm Wright and Kenneth Watson. A group of members from the lodge made the trip from Hopkinton to visit the funeral home. Members of other groups, with which Mr. Rockwood was affiliated, also visited the funeral home and attended the funeral services. Among them were members from Massasoit Lodge, AF&AM and from Maj. James A. Frye Camp, USWV.
