George O. Crawford
WEYMOUTH. — George Otis Crawford, 74, of 59 Columbian street, South Weymouth, died in the Goddard Hospital in Brockton, Friday where he had been trasferred from the Baker Memorial Hospital, Boston, following surgery.
He was a well known businessman in Weymouth, and owner of the Crawford Machine Works with facilities on Pleasant street. He was the son of the late Alfred O. and Mary (Wade) Crawford and the husband of Mary (Chubbuck) Crawford. Fraternally he was affiliated with the Wessagusset Lodge, AF & AM, of South Weymouth, and he was a member of the Weymouth Rotary Club.
Funeral services will be held from the Old South Union Congregational church Monday afternoon, and the Rev. S. Burman Long, DD, pastor of the church, will officiate. Interment will be in the Mount Hope cemetery in South Weymouth. Besides his widow, there are two sons surviving, C. Niles Crawford and Robert D. Crawford, both of South Weymouth, and a brother, Dr. Frank Crawford, of Holbrook.
